Carolyn Mullet:
What We Can Learn From English Gardens


The Beltsville Garden Club will hold its February general meeting on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose room of the James E. Duckworth School at 11201 Evans Trail in Beltsville, Maryland.

The English think of themselves as a nation of gardeners and many believe their gardens to be the most accomplished in the world. Speaker Carolyn Mullet, a Takoma Park garden designer and garden tour host, will present a slideshow of typical English garden elements that can be adapted to our gardens here on this side of the pond. Youíll come away inspired with practical design tips to take your garden to the next level.

Carolyn Mullet has been designing gardens in the Metro DC area for 30 years. After graduating from the George Washington University Landscape Design Program in the 1980ís, she designed & managed projects for a variety of design/build firms.

Three years ago, she started Carex: Garden Design by Carolyn Mullet (http://www.carexdesign.com), a design only company, and last year began a new venture called CarexTours (http://www.carexdesign.com/tours/) to host international garden tours.

She is also active on Facebook (www.facebook.com/gdbycm) where she promotes garden makers from around the world.

Sweet and Savory refreshment donations are always welcome. Please bring a plant or plant-related item for the door prize table.

If Prince Georges County Schools are closed due to weather the meeting will be cancelled.
